WHERE BREATH MEETS BELIEF

Let love land.

Breath can open a different kind of space.

You can know God loves you and still feel your body brace. I hold space for you to rest, release and receive, with trained guidance and tender care for the whole person God made.

BREATHWORK AT SELAH

Conscious Connected Breathwork

Conscious Connected Breathwork is a powerful, immersive practice in which the inhale flows into the exhale and back again in a continuous rhythm. Guided breathing makes room for emotion, insight and release as you explore what you feel and what you have been carrying.

As a certified breathwork facilitator, I hold a sacred, safe container for this work. I prepare you for the experience, lead the breathing practice and remain attentive to how you are responding. I offer grounding and steady support throughout, then guide you through rest, reflection and integration.

Breath can become a bridge between what you know and what you are able to receive: between truth understood and truth lived, between knowing you are loved and allowing that love to reach more of you.

Gentle grounding breathwork

Gentle grounding breathwork invites you to slow down, return to the present and make room for rest. Comfortable breathing, guided body awareness and time for reflection offer an unhurried way to reconnect with yourself.

These experiences can be offered seated or lying down, in individual sessions, group gatherings and senior living communities. The pace and guidance are shaped around the people taking part, their comfort and the purpose of the experience.

What happens when we breathe together.

Your session is time set apart for your body, soul and spirit. I hold a sacred, safe container and personally lead the experience, guiding your breathing and staying attentive to what unfolds. From preparation through integration, there is room to rest, release and receive.

  1. 01 · PREPARE

    Begin with you.

We begin with what brings you here and what you hope to receive. Preparation includes health screening and informed consent, an introduction to the practice and time for your questions.

  2. 02 · BREATHE

    Breathe with Cara.

I guide your breathing and stay attentive to your pace and response, offering grounding and steady support throughout the practice.

  3. 03 · INTEGRATE

    Rest and integrate.

We allow time to rest, reflect and explore what became clear. Together, we consider what you want to carry into your relationships, choices and daily life.

FAITH AT SELAH

God moves first.

Before the garden was ours to tend, life was ours to receive.

It begins with earth and the nearness of God. A body formed from dust. Then God breathes into the one He has made, and the dust becomes someone: someone who can feel the warmth of sunlight, taste the fruit of a garden and hear a voice calling him by name. Our story begins with a gift.

God made you whole: body, soul and spirit. Your body is part of the person He created and loves. There is love for the tender places, for what needs healing and what is ready to grow.

At Selah, my Christian faith shapes how I hold space through prayer, presence and a deep belief that you are loved. Here, we embrace Selah as an invitation to pause. Let love land, making room for your whole self to receive the love God has already given.

A reflection on Genesis 2:7.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Your questions matter.

What might I experience?

During Conscious Connected Breathwork, experiences can include emotion, tears, warmth, tingling, stillness, personal insight or a sense of connection. Light-headedness and muscle tightness can also occur with active connected breathing. Gentle grounding experiences focus on comfortable breathing and reflection.

I explain what to expect and stay attentive to your response. You can slow, pause or stop, and we make time afterward to rest and reflect.

Which breathwork experience is right for me?

Choose an individual session for time focused on you, or an online group to breathe alongside others from home. For a shared experience with your partner, begin with a couples inquiry. If you’re planning an experience for your community or organization, request a custom group experience.

Conscious Connected Breathwork is an active, immersive practice for deeper exploration. Gentle grounding breathwork offers a comfortable pace with space to settle and reflect. Each group listing identifies the practice planned for that gathering. In an individual session, the practice is chosen around your intention, needs and health history. Some health circumstances call for medical guidance or a different form of support.

Breathwork is a personal growth practice and complements, rather than replaces, medical or mental health care.

Can we work together in person?

Yes, individual breathwork sessions in Cincinnati are arranged by request. We agree on the location and any travel fee before booking. Custom group experiences can also be planned in person or online.

What will I need to share?

You decide what you share about your personal life. We can begin with an intention or a question. Your health screening helps me prepare and guide the breathing practice with care.

How do I prepare for a session?

Complete the health screening and informed consent for your session before taking part. Arrive well hydrated and wear comfortable clothing.

Your space

Choose a quiet, private place where you can be uninterrupted. For a lying-down Zoom session, set out an exercise mat with enough room to stretch out comfortably.

Your Zoom setup

A laptop is preferred, or another stable device that lets Cara see you clearly. Position the camera so your full body is visible while you are lying down, including the movement of your chest and belly. Keep your camera on during the guided practice.

Use headphones so you can hear Cara’s voice and the music clearly. Test your camera and sound beforehand, and join a few minutes early to settle in.

Keep nearby

  • Water.
  • A journal and pen.
  • Tissues.
  • A blanket if you would like one.
  • An optional eye mask.
  • An optional pillow to hold beside you, rather than place under your head during the lying-down practice.

Seated gentle grounding and in-person experiences use a setup suited to that gathering. The lying-down Zoom instructions apply to sessions using that format.
